Host University：Tianjin University of Technology
Tianjin University of Technology (TUT), one of the key universities in Tianjin, is located in Tianjin city, one of the four municipalities in China. Tianjin is a highly developed city with a convenient transportation system, advanced industry and commerce and an international cultural atmosphere. It is only 74 miles from Beijing, the political and cultural center of China, and has the advantage of a significantly lower cost of living than that of nearby Beijing. Together with its pleasant atmosphere and convenient conditions for learning standard Chinese spoken language, Tianjin is an excellent location for overseas students.
TUT is an engineering based multi-discipline university balancing the development of science, engineering, humanities and management disciplines. It has a professional teaching team, excellent teaching installations and a comfortable learning atmosphere.
TUT is among the earliest recommended Chinese-learning institutions by the Ministry of Education of China and is specified by the Confucius Institute Headquarters to be a host institution to admit international students who are awarded Confucius Institute Scholarship. So far, international students from more than 50 countries have come to study at TUT and the university has presently productive cooperation with many universities and educational institutions abroad.

一、奖学金颁发对象：
1、非中国籍公民，身心健康，年龄在16至35周岁之间；
2、满足2015年孔子学院奖学金的各项申请条件。
I. Eligibility:
1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens aged from 16 to 35 and in good health；
2.Applicants are required to meet the criterias of different 2015 Confucius Institute Scholarship categories.
二、奖学金类别及相应申请资格要求：
1、奖学金类别：
一学年研修生奖学金；
一学期研修生奖学金。
2、奖学金申请资格要求：
（1）一学年研修生 向孔子学院（课堂）学员，海外本土汉语教师、“汉语桥”中文比赛优胜者、大学中文专业优秀学生、HSK考试成绩优秀者和有志于从事国际汉语教育的人士提供，学习专业包括汉语言文学、中国历史和中国哲学。入学时间为2015年秋季，资助期限为一学年，培养目标为汉语水平达到HSK五级和HSKK中级。申请者HSK成绩须不低于三级180分、HSKK（初级）成绩不低于60分，或者BCT（A）成绩不低于180分、BCT（口语）成绩不低于180分。
（2）一学期研修生 向孔子学院（课堂）优秀学员，“汉语桥”世界大、中学生中文比赛优胜者，海外本土汉语教师、大学中文专业优秀学生、HSK考试成绩优秀者提供，学习专业包括汉语言文学、中国历史和中国哲学，入学时间为2015年秋季或2016年春季，资助期限为一学期，培养目标为汉语水平达到HSK四级和HSKK中级。申请者HSK成绩须不低于二级120分、HSKK（初级）成绩不低于40分，或者BCT（A）成绩不低于100分、BCT（口语）成绩不低于120分。
II. Categories and Specific Criteria:
1. Categories:1-academic-year Scholarship and 1-semester Scholarship
2. Specific Criteria:
(1)Scholarship for One-Academic Year Students : The scholarship is oriented at outstanding students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), overseas local Chinese language teachers, winners of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, excellent foreign college students majored in Chinese, outstanding performers on the HSK, and those who intend to become Chinese teachers. The scholarship winner may choose to study in majors including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy. The time of entrance is autumn 2015 and the grant term is one academic year with the training target for HSK level 5 and HSKK intermediate level. Applicants should achieve a score of at least 180 on the HSK (level 3) and at least 60 on the HSKK (primary level), or at least 180 on the BCT (A) and at least 180 on the BCT (spoken Chinese).
(2)Scholarship for One-Semester Students : The scholarship is oriented at excellent students of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms), winners of the “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competitions for Foreign College Students and for Foreign High School Students, overseas local Chinese language teachers, excellent foreign college students majored in Chinese, and outstanding performers on the HSK. The scholarship winner may choose to study in majors including Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy. The time of entrance is autumn 2015 or spring 2016, and the grant term is one semester with the training target for HSK level 4 and HSKK intermediate level. Applicants should achieve a score of at least 120 on the HSK (level 2) and at least 40 on the HSKK (primary level), or at least 100 on the BCT (A) and at least 120 on the BCT (spoken Chinese).
三、奖学金资助范围及标准
1、孔子学院奖学金全额资助内容包括：学费、住宿费、生活费、综合医疗保险费。其中，生活费标准为：一学年和一学期研修生人民币2500元/月。
III. Scholarship Coverage and Criteria
1. Scholarship winners are exempt from tuition, accommodation fees on campus, and are provided with monthly living allowance, and comprehensive insurance for foreign students studying in China. Monthly living allowances are provided at the following rates (CNY Yuan per month): CNY 2,500 for One-Academic-Year Students and One-Semester Students.

五、入学及年度评审
1、奖学金获得者须根据接收院校规定按时到校报到。无故逾期未报到者，奖学金资格不予保留。
2、入学体检不合格者，奖学金资格将被取消。
V. Registration and Annual Appraisal
1. The scholarship winners must register at College of International Education at Tianjin University of Technology before the deadline set by TUT. Scholarships will not be kept for those who do not register on time;
2. Scholarships will be cancelled for those who cannot pass the physical examination;
